Here is the report on the ZL6QH operation in the recent 2003 CQ WPX CW Contest. At this stage it looks like we could be 1st place in Oceania and one of the top stations worldwide in the M2 category - a very pleasing result!

Thanks to guest-op Andrei ZL1TM for helping out.

A surprisingly good score, twice as many as in the SSB event. We decided to target 40 m, and it paid off. 40 was excellent, with Eu booming in at sunrise/sunset, and great 20 m signals all around. 10 m opened late and closed early, with mainly only good Stateside signals.

We re-jigged the wire antennes the previous weekend, giving us another Vee beam for EU/JA to accomodate the Multi-2 operation.

The dead opossum somewhere in the building kept the operators on their toes!

Wilbert, ZL2BSJ
(on behalf of ZL6QH ops)
